3D Laser Scanning and surveying Services

TreisTek provides a comprehensive data capture service using the latest laser scanning which allows us to virtually map everything from large scale city models to very small industrial components.

3D Laser Scanning

3D laser scanning helps you create asset documents of any area like industrial units, construction sites, excavation pits, monuments, and for that matter anything that has to be digitized in a very less turnaround time of site activity. 3d Laser scanning uses a laser, normally Class 1, to scan up to 1 million points per second in a 360 degree horizontal and 320-degree zenith. Multiple set of points recorded in a site called a point cloud is used to create the 3d models or 2d drawings.

SCAN to CAD Modelling

3D Laser Scanning is perfect for reverse engineering and design. Creating models from scan data helps in understanding site conditions and helps designers, architects, planners to assess the area for new equipment installations, piping installations, HVAC replacements. We have multiple applications where we scanned and delivered 3D Models for guarding design in Auto CAD, Catia, UG & Nupas Cadmatic.

SCAN to BIM Modelling

Creating as-built BIM models of the site using scan data can save thousands of rupees and large amounts of time by identifying mistakes and eliminating rework. Utilizing 3D laser scanning to capture actual site conditions on a continuous basis to create a series of as-built BIM models can be used for periodical verification with the design model. Any irregularities can be spotted, assessed and corrective action taken before costly rework is required.

Point Cloud Registration

In the recent times, major software suppliers have incorporated point cloud tools into their products. This has led to scanning increasingly becoming a standard method of data capture for a vast range of applications. From architectural to industrial, 3D point cloud survey can provide a solution to the most complex of data collection challenges.

Surveying

Terrestrial scanning uses a ground-based or tripod-mounted light radar to create high resolution 3D images of surfaces and objects. LiDAR measures a scanned object by emitting laser pulses and recording the subsequent intensity of their return when reflected off it. Scanning can be performed over kilometres with sub-centimetre precision. Terrestrial scanning is commonly used for heritage documentation, 3D topographical surveys, accident sites, confined spaces survey and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing)  models.

Many offshore platforms & rigs require constant maintenance and updating. Accurate information on these platforms is essential to maintain safe and productive work environments. Our laser scanning services are enabling engineers to decide where new equipment can be placed and the best positions for existing equipment to be moved to, aiding and extending the lifetime of offshore platforms. This results in a reduced development, maintained life cycle and rapid accurate measurements, reducing the time and effort of ongoing work.
